Bio

James Trevena James is an established talent within his own right and has gain recognition for his work here in New Zealand and overseas. His work on Fox Studio and HBO productions among his work in leading roles with production houses here including: South Pacific Pictures and Warner Discovery’s Great Southern productions. James and his partner Ivana Baquero have over 420k followers across socials and have recently relocated to New Zealand. 

James studied at Massey University after receiving a Prime Ministers Scholarship, before playing Ice Hockey in Germany for 3 years, after being named MVP of the Inline Hockey World Championships in Passau, Germany, in 2007. He began his acting career in New Zealand when he landed the role of Charlie in the drama series Blue Rose (SPP) before joining The Shannara Chronicles as Crispin for MTV, produced by Jon Favreau.

In 2017 James moved to the US and quickly gained traction starring alongside Mena Suvari in the TV Series American Woman followed by playing the role of Dennis Wilson of The Beach Boys in Charlie Says, opposite Emmy Nominated Matt Smith directed by 'American Psychos' Mary Harron and then in the updated TV Series version of The Greatest American Hero opposite Hannah Simone for Fox Studios. 

Most recently he starred in 'LAtinas' a pilot for HBO and currently working alongside Paula Patton in the TV series Sacrifice before returning to his homeland of New Zealand where he landed the role of Brett in the new Warner Discovery/Great Southern Television series Friends Like Her.
