Bio

Bella Kalolo, of Samoan, Tongan & Maori (Ngati Porou) descent, is a much loved singer/songwriter, actress and performing artist. She is well known in the New Zealand music scene for her soulful, powerhouse vocal, her big hair and her even bigger heart. She has worked with and supported a wide variety of artists. 

Bella is bold, dedicated, and renowned for her dynamic and vibrant performance within the music industry. Lately she has been gracing our screens on New Zealand's prime time drama series Shortland Street. Last month Bella won the publicly voted Personality of the Year at the New Zealand TV Awards.

Bella has worked with numerous performers both locally and internationally, adding her vocal skill to projects featuring John Mayer, Renee Geyer, Chaka Khan, Nathan Haines, John Rowles, Dave Dobbyn, Delta Goodrem, Jackie Clarke, Tina Cross, Frankie Stevens, Hollie Smith, Carl Doy and Don McGlashan to name a few. Having graced many festivals around Aotearoa and the world with her band, Glastonbury Festival is by far the most prestigious festival she has been invited too sing at. Bella's film and TV credits include Sione's Wedding, After the Party, Duckrockers, MatarikiThe Orator and appearances on Fresh TV.
